Michael Dial, PhD

Post Doctoral Scholar

Dr. Michael Dial received his B.S. in Exercise Science from Utah Valley University. He received his M.S. from the University of Texas at Austin and researched the detrimental effects of prolonged sitting on the physiological benefits of exercise. He continued his graduate work at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and received his PhD for his work investigating the effect of circadian rhythm disruption and social jetlag on the physiological adaptations to exercise. During his time in Las Vegas, Michael also worked in the UNLV Athletics Sport Science Department, primarily with the football, men’s and women’s basketball, and women’s volleyball teams. He also worked in the Sport Science Department within the UFC Performance Institute.
