Connecting Academia and Industry Partners to Advance Space Health Research
Through a partnership between Starlab and the Human Performance Collaborative at The Ohio State University, we are hosting a series of six monthly bioastronautics workshops, intended to intersect academic researchers with industry and government space professionals, expose academics to the wide range of work being done in space research, and encourage the formation of collaborative research partnerships to solve big problems in space and on Earth. These workshops span a wide range of topics, so participants are encouraged to attend the sessions most relevant to their interests and expertise.
Our workshop topics and dates are as follows:
- September 19, 2025 – Exploring Health and Human Performance in Space (Kick-off Event)
- November 14, 2025 – Technology for Health in Space
- December 12, 2025 – Microbiology, Immunology, and Human Health in Space
- January 16, 2026 – Habitats in Space
- February 13, 2026 – Medicine in Space
- March 27, 2026 – Psychology in Space
- April 17, 2026 – Advancements in Training in Space
